Beth Casagrand is the Program Coordinator for FOCUS St. Louis. She joined the FOCUS team in July of 2011. Beth supports the planning and logistics of the leadership training programs, including Leadership St. Louis, Youth Leadership St. Louis, and Experience St. Louis.
Prior to joining FOCUS, Beth was the Development Manager for Teach For America St. Louis. She earned a master’s degree in public administration at Southern Illinois University of Carbondale, where she concentrated her thesis on college support programs aimed at single mothers. She previously served as the committee chairperson for the Carbondale Walk for Multiple Sclerosis. Beth also taught eighth grade reading in a rural Texas town through Teach For America, a program aimed to close the achievement gap in low-income communities. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in English and sociology from University of Missouri Columbia.
Beth is originally from St. Louis and lives in the Maryland Heights area with her husband and daughter.
